It started with Father
Our founder’s father once ran a humble mixed rice stall, loved for his delicious cooking. But when placed in a care centre with plain meals and poor hygiene, he felt disappointed — and so did we.
Moved by this, our founder started Yong An in 2013 with a promise: to create a home where cleanliness is a habit, and meals are made with heart — just like in a good kitchen.
Before his peaceful passing in May 2020, he spent his final years at Yong An — enjoying the food, the care, and the dignity he inspired. His legacy lives on in every resident we serve.

From Humble Beginnings to a Thriving Community
Starting with just 20 residents, today Yong An has grown to over 50 residents, supported by a team of trained caregivers and medical professionals. Our Facebook page has almost reached 1,000 followers, with growing engagement from the public and families who trust our care.
Through word-of-mouth and meaningful service, our reputation has grown not just in size — but in heart.

Stronger Through Every Storm
Like many, we faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic — from cash flow struggles due to renovation costs, to licensing uncertainties. But with support from KKM and the trust of our residents’ families, we adapted, quarantined safely, and emerged stronger.
Our journey is a testament to resilience, teamwork, and never giving up on our elders.
